Aviso

Aviso is a tool used to allow faculty quick access to student information such as courses taken current grades and attendance, and notes from other faculty.  Aviso can be accessed via mySCC, and uses the my SCC username and password. Blackboard

Blackboard is the college’s Learning Management System.  Faculty are asked to maintain at a minimum a current grade within Blackboard.  This information is communicated to Aviso 4 times per semester. Blackboard can be accessed via mySCC, and uses the my SCC username and password.

Class Schedule

Students and faculty can review the current and upcoming class schedules using the Self Service tool in MySCC

Gmail

Gmail is the college’s e-mail system.  Faculty should check their SCC email multiple times during the week.  Gmail can be accessed via MySCC, and uses the my SCC username and password.

Google Docs

Google Docs is an interactive way to share documents. Google Docs and Google Drive can be accessed via mySCC, and uses the mySCC username and password.

Google Drive

Google Drive repository of college documents, which facilitates collaboration. Google Docs and Google Drive can be accessed via mySCC, and uses the mySCC username and password.

Relay

TechSmith Relay is a web based video capture tool that can be used by faculty to create content or students to create assignment submissions.  Feel free to contact the E-Learning Department for support.

SafeAssign

SafeAssign is a plagiarism prevention and detection tool available through the Blackboard LMS. This link will take you to tutorials which explain how to use SafeAssign, or feel free to contact the E-Learning Department for support.

Student Behavior Concerns Portal


The Student Concerns Portal program allows SCC faculty and staff to identify students who are at risk and to initiate immediate intervention with the students as soon as problems are identified. This process enables SCC to track all contacts and intervention efforts and share information appropriately with the student and others who can help the student to be successful. Our goal is to improve student success.
