The 2019-2020 Student Recognition Team will begin highlighting students across campus each week, starting with Kadamma Jackson. She will be graduating in Spring 2020 with her Associate in Arts - College Transfer.

We asked Kadamma a few questions about herself and things that inspire her:

Who is one of your role models? How has that person helped with your educational journey?
I have so many role models. I can't single one out! All of them have helped me to become a proactive student
and take initiative when it comes to my education, from elementary school all the way up to now.

What motivates you to excel at SCC in spite of difficult circumstances you may face?
Everything that I give my all to will be worth it at the end, which is very rewarding.

What advice would you give to other students who face tough challenges?
My advice to students is that you are not alone. Trust me; I have been there myself. Make sure to reach out to people who can help you along the way, along with using the additional resources available to you on campus.

Congratulations, Kadamma. We wish you great success at SCC and are proud to have you as a student.
