Forty-six students earned their associate degrees, diplomas or certificates from Southwestern Community College this summer.
Among the graduates, eight earned Cum Laude honors (3.85-3.89 GPA) while four were named Magna Cum Laude (3.90-3.94 GPA) and three were Summa Cum Laude (3.95-4.00 GPA).
Ten graduates are New Century Scholars, who were identified as “high-potential” students when they were in the seventh grade and were guaranteed the opportunity of an education at Southwestern without the worry of tuition and fees, thanks to the generosity of their respective communities.
All summer graduates will be eligible to walk during SCC’s fall graduation ceremony on Dec. 17.
