In honor of Susan Lanier's prolific artistic talent, the Jackson County Arts Council established the Susan Lanier Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is for students who meet the following criteria:
- Resident of Jackson County
- Have financial need
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Enrolled in an art program as a full-time or part-time student at SCC
