Online Continuing Education (CEU) Courses:

If you are a highly motivated learner with a busy schedule, taking a class over the Internet offers an opportunity for you to gain skills without the structure of the traditional classroom. You will receive CEUs for each of these six-week classes. There are three basic steps that you must complete in order to register.

  1. You must register online at Ed2Go for the class prior to the start date
  2. Complete SCC Registration and payment process that is emailed to you payment process prior to class start date.
  3. Complete the first exam by the Monday after class start date.

Over 300 online continuing education courses are offered monthly. These include internet, webpage design, web graphics and multi-media, web and computer programming, basic computer literacy, computer applications, graphic design, computer troubleshooting and networking, database management, languages, writing and publishing, grant writing and non-profit management, start your own business, sales and marketing, accounting, business administration, and much more.

All courses run for 6 weeks and offer 24 contact hours or 2.4 continuing education units (CEUs). The cost for each course varies, please check website for cost. New courses begin every month for all subject areas.  Please check class requirements for software, computer skills required, and pre-requisite classes required.
 

How To Get Started:

1.  To Select and Register for a class, visit the SCC-Ed2Go website at www.ed2go.com/scc/

  • Once you have selected the course you are interested in, select the Enroll Now button.
  • Follow the instructions to enroll, entering your email address and assigning a password.
  • Continue directions to complete the enrollment process.
  • Once you have enrolled on the SCC-Ed2Go website you will receive by email with instructions for making your payment.

Requirements: 
Student’s enrollment may be terminated if the first lesson quiz is not completed by the 10% point. Students will be dropped from the course for that session and given a refund per Southwestern Community College’s refund policy.

All courses require

  • Students must be 18 years of age at the start of the course or obtain a Student Release form from their school district. Print off your concurrent enrollment form and fill out with your registration form.
  • Basic computer knowledge needed.
  • Check out the “Requirements” list in your course to find additional Books or Software that maybe required for completing the course.
  • Student can print your entire course out for later reference and study.
  • Two Lessons are released each week on Wednesday and Friday. Each lesson has a Quiz and there is a Final Exam released with the 12th lesson. You may take the Quizzes over and over again, the highest score is counted.
  • Student must take first lesson quiz by the 10% point to remain in course.
  • Student must take final exam to pass the class.
