The High School Equivalency (HSE) program at Southwestern Community College offers adults who did not complete a formal high school program the opportunity to earn their high school credential.

The Adult High School Program (AHS) is a program of study designed for students who left high school before earning a high school diploma and wish to complete the remaining credits at SCC to earn a high school diploma.

The Basic Skills Plus program allows eligible high school equivalency (GED ®/HiSET and Adult High School) students to concurrently enroll in selected career pathways/curriculum classes with the tuition waived.

In passing all sections of either of these tests you will have earned your High School Equivalency Certificate, awarded by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
