The SCC Testing Center is pleased to offer test proctoring for students who are taking online
classes at other institutions. Online classes often require students to take exams that are
administered in person by an approved proctor.
How can I request and schedule a proctored test?
A proctored testing appointment must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Ability to
schedule proctored tests is determined by the availability of testing center staff and testing lab.

What hours will proctored testing be available?
Testing hours are listed below and are based on staff availability:

Who can have a test proctored?
Proctored testing is available for students not currently enrolled at SCC. Some students may be dual
enrolled students meaning they are taking courses at SCC and another institution. In this case, we
can proctor the tests for non-SCC courses. Students who need test proctoring for SCC courses
should contact the Learning Assistance Center at 828.339.4325 (Jackson Campus) or 828.306.7028
What tests can you administer?
We can proctor tests in almost any format as per the requirements of the test. We can provide the
proctor service for paper/pencil tests and web-based tests.
What is the charge for the proctoring service?
For non-SCC students the cost is $25 per test. For alumni and former SCC students the cost is $10
per test. These fees are payable by credit/debit card, cash, or money order to the Cashier's Office at
the Jackson Campus or by cash (exact change required) at the Macon Campus Testing Center. A
receipt must be presented to the Testing Center staff prior to testing.
What are the guidelines for test proctoring at SCC?
Students taking a test proctored by SCC must: present valid photo identification and must provide
any allowable equipment and materials required for the test. A proctor will monitor the student at
