Each February, Southwestern Community College holds an annual Title IX poster contest as part of our, "Stop Destructive Behavior and Relationship Violence" Title IX awareness campaign.
Posters are created by our second-year Advertising and Graphic Design students. Voting will begin on Monday, Feb. 12, and last through Friday, Feb. 23. SCC students, faculty and staff: Watch your SCC account for an email with voting instructions and a link. When voting begins, please choose your favorite poster (choose one). The winning artist will receive $100. This contest is sponsored by Student Life.

The national statistics surrounding sexual assault are scary!
1 in 5 women are victims of completed or attempted sexual assault while in college. FEWER than 5% of survivors report the crime! Of those reporting, 40% wait 11 months to report.
Approximately 6.1% of men report experiencing attempted or completed sexual assault in college.
High School Bullying statistics continue to rise every month:
60% of high school students report being bullied during school.
71% of students report incidents of bullying as a problem at their school.
15% of all school absenteeism is directly related to fears of being bullied at school.
