Registered nurses care for patients and promote their physical, mental and social well being. The duties performed by RN’s include monitoring patients status and progress, providing care and administering medications.  The title of registered nurse encompasses a wide range of specialties among them: hospital nurses,  physician office nurses, home health nurses, geriatric nurses and public health nurses to  name a few.
