To support an annual scholarship, Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 108 in Franklin recently donated $250 to the SCC Foundation.
The 10 monthly stipends of $250 also help a lot.
Surrounded by roughly 200 friends, family and supporters, 67 Southwestern Community College students became the first group inducted into Southwestern’s newly formed chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success on Feb. 18.
Throughout the month of December, students, alumni and staff from Southwestern Community College’s Upward Bound program worked to make sure 2014 started well for many.
