Mrs. Womble was sworn in on Sept. 6, and Mr. Allman became a Trustee in November.
SCC's founding class of Practical Nursing celebrated their accomplishments with a pinning ceremony on Dec. 10.
She has been a fixture at Southwestern since 2000, when she started the Learning Assistance Center and served as an instructor of English and education.
Specific uses for the grant funding include: Meeting basic needs for SCC’s community by stocking campus cupboards at four college locations, free mental health therapy and more.
Dr. Brooks started at SCC as an adjunct professor of Accounting in 1992, and he's retiring after spending the past 10 years as Executive Vice President of Instruction & Student Services.
Inductees hold a 3.5 (or better) GPA, are nominated by faculty and rank among top 20 percent of students in their respective programs.
