Dental Assisting Program Mission Statement

The mission Southwestern Community College Dental Assisting Program is to prepare students with job entry skills and knowledge to participate in the delivery of dental healthcare to the public and to obtain professional credentials in accordance with Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) standards.

Dental Assisting Program Goals

·         Prepare students with the knowledge and skills to obtain the core elements of the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).

·         Provide a curriculum that prepares students to function as integral members of the dental team.

·         Provide the community with dental assistants who have entry-level knowledge and skills.
