The majority of classrooms are equipped with the following:
- Data projector and screen
- Internet-connected desktop computer
- Web Cam and Microphone capable of live broadcast
- Desktop monitor
- Room-size speakers
- Integrated DVD player
- Connectivity for guest laptops (for student presentations)
If you are assigned to a room without a necessary piece of equipment, please contact your department's Administrative Assistant or Dean for assistance.
If you are teaching exclusively at a High School partner, please contact front office staff at the High School who are responsible for classroom technology needs for missing equipment ore required repairs. Should it be an uncommon or additional need, Deans can also provide additional technological information.
For support with any of the classroom technology at an SCC site, reach out to the IT Support desk at 828.339.4409 during normal business hours or submit a ticket (link opens in a new window) to request support outside of business hours
Laptop and ipad carts may also be available at SCC sites. Reservation and check-out procedures vary, so check with the Administrative Assistant in your area for clarification. You will be responsible for returning the carts (and their contents) in working condition. In general, be sure to reserve early as they are requested often.
