A student can receive credit for a course through proficiency examination (only available in selected courses identified by program coordinators / department chair). No more than one-half of the required credit for a degree or a diploma may be earned through Policy 06.02.13 "Credit by Exam" unless otherwise approved by the Executive Vice President for Instruction and Student Services.
The applicable testing fee will apply, and successful completion of the exam will result in an "S" grade for the course. Credit by examination may be earned prior to enrolling in a course or up to the 10% point if a student is enrolled in the course. The testing fee is $25 and must be paid prior to taking the test.
