More than 40 area employers representing all spectrums of business and industry have committed to participate inSouthwestern Community College’s Fall Job Fair, which will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, in the Groves Center on SCC’s Macon Campus in Franklin.
In attendance this year will be representatives from hospitals and healthcare facilities, hospitality and tourism businesses, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and more.
“These employers are looking to fill part-time, full-time, seasonal, temporary and permanent positions right now,” said Mike Despeaux, SCC’s Director of Career Services. “It’s a great opportunity for anyone in our area who’s looking for employment of any kind.”
The event is open to the general public in addition to SCC students.
Despeaux encourages job-seekers to dress professionally and to bring printed resume copies. He’ll also be available to provide guidance and advice to anyone searching for employment in Western North Carolina.
