For anyone interested in pursuing a GED, Southwestern Community College is offering free High School Equivalency classes in Cherokee.
There are two paired TERO High School Equivalency Classes being offered to enrolled members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. One class is for writing, reading and social studies, offered from 6-8 p.m. on Mondays. The other class is for math and science, offered from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays. Both classes take place in the TERO Office Conference Room.
To attend the classes, students will need to contact Heather Stephan at h_stephan@SouthwesternCC.edu or 828.339.4272.
