In the spring, Southwestern Community College's new Director of Healthcare Simulation Learning, Jill Ellern, wrote an article with Alleyne Broomell and Mykenzi Allison from Western Carolina University. The article, titled "Feasibility and Utility of a Virtual Reality Laboratory Exercise in an Undergraduate Neuroscience Course," was then published in The Journal of Undergraduate Neuroscience Education (JUNE).
The article explores the possibility of using 3D Organon as a virtual brain dissection alternative in an upper-level neuropsychology course, and the outcomes of using the program.
Ellern, who co-authored another article previously, is responsible for the management of state-of-the-art healthcare simulation at SCC.
