Twenty-six Southwestern Community College students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society during a ceremony on Tuesday evening, Nov. 28, at SCC’s Jackson Campus.
All the inductees hold a 3.5 Grade Point Average, were nominated by a teaching faculty member and rank among the top 20 percent of active students in their respective career fields.
“Being inducted into this prestigious organization is the result of a lot of hard work by all these students, and we’re extremely proud of them,” said Dr. Thom Brooks, SCC’s Vice President for Instruction & Student Services.
NTHS recognizes outstanding student achievement in career and technical education. It encourages higher scholastic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence and helps students find success in the workplace.
