Nurse Aide classes, ConEd scholarships available for spring semester

Nurse Aide classes will beoffered in the Spring semester through the Workforce Continuing Education division, which is designed to quickly prepare students for entry into an occupation.

Day and evening classes will be offered at both the Jackson and Macon campuses.

On the Jackson campus, day classes will take place from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Evening classes will occur from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Classes start Jan. 17 and will end on May 1.

The Macon campus will have day classes available from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Evening classes will take place from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes will begin on Jan. 17 and end on May 2.

Interested individuals who are residents of North Carolina will be eligible for SECU Scholarships of $500 to cover the costs.

The N.C. State Employees’ Credit Union Foundation recently gave SCC $18,000 to financially assist students who enroll in Workforce Continuing Education programs.
