Nineteen graduates of Southwestern Community College’s Nurse Aide program were honored during a pinning ceremony on Dec. 16 on SCC’s Jackson Campus.
All the graduates honored are eligible to work under the supervision of licensed nursing professionals in performing nursing care and services for persons of all ages – though Nurse Aides primarily provide care for the elderly.
“I’m extremely proud of all our students who completed their studies and training,” said Tracy Hord, SCC’s Nurse Aide Program Coordinator. “This is a challenging field, and the work we do is extremely important for our patients and their families.”
