Following is a quick bio and Q&A with Margaret Marr, our honoree for the week of March 15:

Program: Business Administration: Office Administration

Graduation: Fall 2019

Q) What motivates you to continue and excel at SCC in spite of circumstances you may face?
A) The desire to succeed in reaching a better and brighter future where I can live comfortably and financially secure.

Q) What advice would you give to future students who might face similar situations?
A) Don't panic! Take each day one at a time, because if you look at a whole semester of classwork, it will overwhelm you, and you'll feel like it can't be done. Study one class a day. Treat your school attendance as if it's a job that you don't want to get fired from. At a specified time each day, that works for you, plant your butt in front of your desk to study and BE THERE! No excuses. Take Sunday off (or whatever day you have available) and have one fun day a week away from the books.
