Members of the community are invited to attend the “Start to Finish” Open House and Craft Sale at Southwestern Community College’s Swain Center from 3-8 p.m. on June 3.
Craft vendors offering a variety of local, handmade art will be in the gym. All vendors are current and former students from the Heritage Arts program.
Information about Heritage Arts craft classes, Personal Enrichment, High School Equivalency/GED, enrollment for other college programs and the Swain County Cooperative Extension Office will be available.
“Our programs at the SCC Swain Center focus on creating opportunities to start something new and follow it through to completion,” said SCC’s Director of Personal Enrichment and Heritage Arts, Jeff Marley. “Whether it is pottery, a high school diploma or a degree, we are here to help and support students from start to finish."
A food truck will be on the campus to provide snack and dinner options.
