To be honored, students must complete at least 12 credit hours in the summer semester. The President’s list honorees earned a GPA of 3.85 or higher, while those on the Dean’s list earned a GPA between 3.50 and 3.849.

Continuing a rich tradition of representation from the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI), Pam Straughan of Cherokee was sworn in as the newest member of Southwestern Community College’s Board of Trustees.

The scholarships are worth $10,000 apiece and can be used to help offset costs of tuition, fees, books, tools and more.

Held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sept. 23 on our Jackson Campus, this summit aims to bring people together for honest conversations, practical ideas and helpful resources. There is no cost to attend.

For the first time, SCC is offering training to help individuals earn a Commercial Driver License (CDL). Large emergency vehicles, 18-wheelers and vehicles transporting hazardous materials all require a CDL.
