Eligibility and Testing

9th and 10th grade high school students pursuing a College Transfer Pathway are required to provide satisfactory test scores for Math, English, and Reading. Additional documentation and testing is required based on school district and type. You will work one-on-one with the designated CCP Advisor for your county and the High School Partnership Coordinator, Mike Davis.

11th and 12th grade high school students pursuing a College Transfer Pathway are not required to test or have satisfactory test scores if they have an unweighted GPA of 2.8 or higher. Students who plan to enroll in a Career Technical Pathway and have an unweighted GPA of less than 2.8 can either qualify with satisfactory test scores or with written approval from their High School Principal. Certain Career Technical courses do require test scores.

Satisfactory test scores can be collected from the Pre-ACT, PSAT, SAT, ACT and RISE Placement Test. Multiple tests may be used to qualify a student for their pathway or class. The RISE test is available at the Jackson Campus in Sylva and the Macon Campus in Franklin. Please see our Testing Center Website for more information.
