Holt Library's Book Club will be reading Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle's Even As We Breathe next! No promises, but we may have an opportunity to meet virtually with the author (date pending).
Please let Savannah DeHart know if you need to check out a copy (copies are limited because this is a very popular and new book). Otherwise, you may want to look for a copy at City Lights Bookstore or a local public library (they have many copies).
This is the first novel published by a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Clapsaddle is also a teacher at Swain County High School. If you want to know a bit more, please check out this article about Saunooke from NPR.
