*** TRAINING IS LOCATED IN FRANKLIN, NORTH CAROLINA***
Beginning courses are designed for riders with little or no experience. Based on extensive data, research, and field tests, this course combines classroom and on-bike experience to give an overall understanding of motorcycling and prepares the student with basic riding skills. Classes are held at Southwestern Community College’s Public Safety Training Center Driving Range in Franklin, North Carolina. Class is physically demanding and all students taking the Basic Rider Course must be able to ride a bicycle. You MUST pre-register and submit a payment of $225.00. Classes fill as payment is received. This class is Self-supporting with no refunds. Must be 16 years old to enroll.
Learn safe motorcycle riding under the direction of Motorcycle Safety Foundation certified instructors. A mandated eCourse (online interactive program) is offered prior to attending your Saturday/Sunday Basic Rider class.
Southwestern Community College in collaboration with MSF is excited to embrace digital technology in the form of online education. Our newest offerings represents our continuing commitment to educating motorcyclists and other roadway users in a variety of ways and through multiple channels. The eCourse is a highly interactive online program that provides riders of all skill levels with the basics of motorcycling. With integrated graphics, photos and video to help better illustrate the lessons, the program allows you to control the pace of your learning.
