Don't wait, register for your spring semester classes on the first possible opportunity! Make plans now to meet with your advisor on Oct. 24 - there will be no SCC classes that day.
An added bonus for anyone who's been out of work for 13 weeks or longer: You could be eligible for free tuition and reimbursement for all education-related expenses (mileage, books and more) through a federal grant overseen by the Southwestern Commission, which will have representatives available at our Jackson Campus on Oct. 24. If your goal is to earn a bachelor's degree or beyond, we'll have representatives from more than a half-dozen universities available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Here's a list of four-year schools and other organizations and offices who've committed to send representatives:
- Lenoir-Rhyne
- Northeastern University
- UNC-Chapel Hill's (C-STEP program)
- UNC-Wilmington
- SCC Financial Aid
- The Southwestern Commission (WNC Dislocated Worker Grant)
- Western Carolina University (Admissions)
